On 10th June, James Newby performs Mahler’s Rückert Lieder at Wigmore Hall with Mitsuko Uchida. James is a 2022 Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award Winner and this recital forms part of the BBT’s 20th Anniversary weekend celebrations.
Callum Thorpe is excited to make his role debut at Garsington Opera this month. He sings Don Basilio in a new production of Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia. Performances from 31 May – 22 July.
Edgaras Montvidas looks forward to returning to the Theater an der Wien in Vienna this month to sing the role of Alwa in a new production of Berg’s Lulu. Performances from 27 May – 6 June.
David Bates returns to the Komische Oper Berlin to conduct a new production of Handel’s Saul directed by Axel Ranisch. Marcus Farnsworth appears in recital in Barcelona at the Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau with Sholto Kynoch on 15 May as part of the Lied Festival Victoria de los Ángeles, a performance which is then repeated at Oxford Lieder on 28 May.
