October sees Elizabeth Watts sing/direct the Britten Sinfonia on tour in the UK and Spain in a programme including Finzi Dies Natalis as well as world premieres by Ryan Latimer Pound of Cure and Richard Blackford Songs of Nadia Anjuman, of which Richard Morrison in The Times was moved to write: “It was superbly performed by the Britten Sinfonia and Elizabeth Watts, who not only sang the solo part with flawless musicality and extraordinary passion, but somehow also managed to conduct the players as well.” Concerts take place at Saffron Hall, Saffron Walden; The Halls, Norwich; Milton Court Concert Hall, London and Sociedade Filarmónica de Bilbao, Spain.
