MRM ARTISTS APPEARING IN THE ROYAL OPERA 19/20 SEASON

Barrie Kosky returns to the Royal Opera, Covent Garden with a new production of Handel Agrippina, conducted by Maxim Emelyanychev, opening on 23 September; Mark Padmore takes the stage as Gustav von Aschenbach in David McVicar’s new production of Britten Death in Venice, conducted by Mark Elder, opening on 21 November; and Hilary Summers returns to the Royal Opera as the White Queen in Gerald Barry’s Alice’s Adventures Underground, conducted by Thomas Ades, opening on 4 February. Bass-baritone Michael Mofidian enters his second year as a Jette Parker Young Artist, appearing in seven different productions across the season including Johann/Werther, Montano/Otello and Angelotti/Tosca.
