Karen Cargill returns to the Met in Dialogues des Carmélites, Das Rheingold and Siegfried

Karen Cargill returns to the Metropolitan Opera in April and May. Showcasing her versatility, she sings Mère Marie in Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites, and Erda in Wagner’s Das Rheingold and Siegfried.

This season also sees her in concert with Orquesta Nacional de España and David Afkham in Gurrelieder, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and Mariss Jansons in Bruckner Mass in F minor,  Hong Kong Philharmonic and Jaap van Zweden singing Mahler Symphony No. 2, and with Kent Nagano and Montreal Symphony Orchestra for Mahler Symphony No 3.

Karen opened her 18/19 season by returning to the Royal Opera, Covent Garden to sing Waltraute in Götterdämmerung with Sir Antonio Pappano, and will close her season with the same role at the Edinburgh Festival with Sir Andrew Davis.
