MRM is delighted to announce the General Management of tenor Kieran Carrel

13 June 2019

German tenor Kieran Carrel (b. 1996) studied in Cologne with Christoph Prégardien and at London’s Royal Academy of Music. From 2019-2021 Kieran will join the Oper Theater Bonn, where next season he sings roles including Jacquino Fidelio, Beppe Pagliacci, PorterDeath in Venice, and Staatstheater by Mauricio Kagel.

A passionate exponent of lieder, Kieran frequently appears in recital across Europe and the UK, and has performed with eminent pianists including Christopher Glynn and Roger Vignoles. He made his Wigmore Hall début in 2016 with Graham Johnson, where he returned earlier this year with RAM’s prestigious Song Circle. Kieran is also a 2019 Leeds Lieder Young Artist, where he appeared in recital with pianist Richard Gowers, and was awarded the inaugural Leeds Lieder/Schubert Institute UK Song Prize. Further highlights of the season have included his recital début at the Pierre-Boulez-Saal in Berlin, as part of the Heidelberger Frühling Schubert Week with Thomas Hampson and Hartmut Höll.
