Sunnyboy Dladla and Karen Cargill return to Edinburgh International Festival

Following his success in Ariadne auf Naxos last year, Sunnyboy Dladla was immediately invited back by the Edinburgh International Festival to take part in this year’s opening concert of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana with the BBC Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sir Donald Runnicles.

Also appearing in Edinburgh, Karen Cargill sings Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with the Philadelphia Orchestra conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin followed by Elgar’s The Dream of Gerontius with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and Sir Andrew Davis in the closing concert of this year’s Festival.
