Mark Padmore appointed CBE
13 June 2019We are delighted that Mark Padmore was appointed CBE in the 2019 Queen’s Birthday Honours list.
In June, as an Artist in Residence at the 2019 Aldeburgh Festival, Mark will curate the Poetry and Music series, appear in seven concerts including performances of Thomas Larcher A Padmore Cycle, Britten Nocturne and Schubert 1828, a recreation of the only all-Schubert concert staged during the Composer’s lifetime. In addition, he will work with young singers as Course Director for a series of public masterclasses entitled Singing Britten.
