James Way makes Opéra national de Montpellier debut in Handel’s Il Trionfo del Tempo

James Way makes his debut for Opéra national de Montpellier reprising the role of Tempo in Handel’s Il Trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno under Thibault Noally, following a highly successful tour of the work last season with the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra under René Jacobs.

Also this season James sings Messiah tours with William Christie and Les Arts Florissants, with Trevor Pinnock and the FBO, and in his US concert debut with Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra under Douglas Boyd; Purcell King Arthur and The Fairy Queen with the Gabrieli Consort and Players (released on disc for Signum Classics), Bach St Matthew Passion (Evangelist) with the Lahti Symphony Orchestra under Andreas Spering, Mozart Requiem with L’Orchestre de chambre de Paris and Douglas Boyd, and Stravinsky Pulcinella both with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra under Barbara Hannigan and with the CBSO under Kazuki Yamada. In the summer he covers the role of Oronte (Handel Alcina) for Glyndebourne Festival Opera.
