Hilary Summers in ROH staging of Barry ‘Alice’s Adventures Under Ground’

Hilary Summers takes on the roles of White Queen and Dormouse in the first fully staged production of Gerald Barry Alice’s Adventures Under Ground at Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, conducted by Thomas Adès and directed by Antony McDonald.

Further highlights of the season include Mahler Symphony No. 8 with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under Vasily Petrenko; George Benjamin’s Into the Little Hill with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic; Prokofiev Alexander Nevsky: Field of the Dead with the BBC Concert Orchestra; and a Japanese tour of Handel Silla (Claudio) with Europa Galante under Fabio Biondi.
