Gavan Ring opens in Bastarda at La Monnaie in Brussels in March, in a re-working of Donizetti’s operas Elisabetta al castello di Kenilworth, Anna Bolena, Maria Stuarda and Roberto Devereux. Performed over two evenings – ‘For better, for worse’ and ‘Till death do us part’ – this epic follows the life and reign of Queen Elizabeth I. The production is also due to be streamed by OperaVision at a later date.
