Rud to join the Hamburg State Opera
The
Ukranian baritone will join the ensemble of Hamburg State Opera in
September 2009. His roles for the 2009/10 season will include
Silvio Pagliacci; Sharpless Madam Butterfly; Prosdocimo Turco in Italia and Conte Le Nozze di Figaro.

Ingela Bohlin makes her role debut as Despina at the Netherlands Opera in Mozart's Cosi fan Tutte with dates throughout March.
Katherine
Broderick will sing in Mozart's Requiem
with RTVE Madrid and Takua Yuasa on 3rd April. Later in the month
(30th April), Katherine returns to the BBC Symphony Orchestra for
Bruckner's Mass No. 3
with Jiri Belohlavek before appearing for the first time with the Hallé
Orchestra under Mark Elder on 10 May singing Woglinde in
Wagner's Götterdämmerung.

will make her Berlin Philharmonic debut on 28th May with Sir Simon Rattle singing Waltraute in Wagner's Götterdämmerung.
Andrew
Foster-Williams
Throughout March and April Andrew performs in Handel's Jephtha
with the Opera National du Rhin in Strasbourg, Mulhouse and
Colmar under Ivor Bolton. Also in April (on 12th) he
will sing Mendelssohn's Elijah with the DSO Berlin under Andrew Manze.
Lukas Jakobski
March 18-20 takes Lukas to Finland to perform in Handel's Solomon with the Kymi Sinfonietta directed by Andres Mustonen. A return then to England for a performance of Bach's St Matthew Passion on 1st April with the Dunedin Consort in Edinburgh is followed by Bach's St John Passion with Stephen Layton and Polyphony at St John Smith's Square in London on 10 April.
Pär Lindskog will sing the title role in Wagner's Siegfried for Washington National Opera in April and May, conducted by Heinz Fricke.
Stephan Loges
28 March sees Stephan in Strasbourg for a recital of Hugo Wolf's Spanisches Liederbuch with Sophie Karthauser and Eugene Asti. This is followed in April by a performance of Haydn's Creation with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra under Paul McCreesh and later in the month he records two of David Matthews' works - Marina and Winter Passions - with the Nash Ensemble.

April's highlight is a performance of Beethoven's Symphony No 9 with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe under Bernard Haitink at the Lucerne Festival.

Throughout March, April and early May, Edgaras is Ruggero in Puccini's La Rondine in Leipzig with the Gewandhaus Orchestra.

Mark gives the world premiere of Turnage's Constant Obsession
at the Wigmore Hall on 5th March with the Nash Ensemble. April
features a project with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment
exploring Bach's St Matthew Passion without conductor, culminating in a European Tour. In May, a return to the Aldeburgh Festival for Schubert's Winter Journey, staged by Katie Mitchell, with Andrew West on 1st May at Snape Maltings.

A new production by David Pountney of Wagner's Tristan und Isolde sees Annalena as Isolde at Cologne Opera under Markus Stenz, opening on 22nd March.
Viktor
Rud appears as Silvano in Verdi's Masked Ball at the Berlin State Opera throughout May.
Andrew
Tortise
On 4th April, Andrew will sing his first Evangelist in Bach's St Matthew Passion in Lisbon with Divino Sospiro and Enrico Onofri. Arias St Matthew Passion
follow on 9th and 10th April with the Residentie Orchestra under
Richard Egarr. He then appears in May and June with the
Netherlands Opera as Janek in
Janacek's Makropulos Case (opening 18th May).
Thomas
Walker is in Spain in April for two performances singing his first Evangelist in Bach's St Matthew Passion with Al Eyre Espanol (April 4 and 5). He returns to the UK for the UK premiere of Cavalli's Eliogabalo with Grange Park Opera under Christian Curnyn, opening on 4 June with further performances throughout the month.
